Yash Raj Films announces release dates for 5 movies. Read details.

Yash Raj Film, which is celebrating its 50th year of operations this year,  has announced the release dates for its much-awaited five new films. The studio said that Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Prithviraj, Shamshera, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Bunty Aur Babli 2 will open in theatres this year.

Sharing the details on an Instagram post, YRF wrote: "Yash Raj Films has locked its exciting slate of films for 2021 and the company is signalling its strong intent to bring audiences back to experience films on the big screen."

First on the release slate is Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. The movie directed by Dibaker Banerjee will release on March 19.

  Following this, Bunty Aur Babli 2, which features Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari, will hit cinema halls on April 23. The upcoming film is being directed by Varun V Sharma. The movie is a sequel to the Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji - 2005 hit of the same name. The first film was directed by Shaad Ali.

 Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor will release on June 25.  The movie directed by Karan Malhotra also features Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in key roles.

Ranveer Singh's Jayeshbhai Jordaar, will release on August 27. The film, directed by Divyang Thakkar, stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Prithviraj, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, slated for a Diwali 2020 release was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The film will now release on Diwali this year. It is directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
