Actress-model-TV personality Pamela Anderson, who has millions of followers online, has announced that she's is quitting social media after finding inspiration in reading and nature.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Pamela told her fans that that “this will be my last post on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook”. She claimed social media was being used as a form of mind control as she declared herself "free".
“I've never been interested in social media,” the former Baywatch star said in the post along a photo of her seductively done-up makeup. “And now that I'm settled into the life I'm genuinely inspired by, reading and being in nature, I am free.”
The popular star also urged her followers to “find the strength and inspiration to follow your purpose” and “not to be seduced by wasted time”.
"Thanks for the love. Blessings to you all. Let's hope you find the strength and inspiration to follow your purpose and try not to be seduced by wasted time.
"Thats what THEY want and can use to make money," she said, adding: "Control over your brain." Pamela finished off the post with various hashtags, including "the bewildered herd" and "freedom".
She posted a similar message on Twitter, writing: “Goodbye social media.”
Pamela got immense popularity as a cast member of the hit lifeguard series "Baywatch". She has married multiple times in her life, including to drummer Tommy Lee, with whom she has sons Brandon Lee, 24, and Dylan Lee, 23, with. They were married from 1995 to 1998.
Recently, Pamela made the news for asking former President Donald Trump to grant a full pardon to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange prior to leaving office.
