The trailer of the film that is to be released on 26th February promises to take the viewer on one dark, dangerous and riveting ride.
Streaming platform Netflix has dropped the trailer for Parineeti Chopra's next 'The Girl On The Train" and it is all things thrilling. The 2.27-minute-long trailer lets the audience in on the lives of seemingly ordinary people who are guarding dangerous secrets.
The trailer introduces us to Mira Kapoor (Parineeti) who is battling her past in more ways than one. Mira appears to be fixated on the lives of a perfect couple, who she notices on her daily train journey. All is fine till tragedy strikes. With haunting thoughts, memory lapses and a possible murder, she seems on the edge of destruction.
The synopsis of the trailer by Netflix reads: "A bright city, a dull morning and a curious girl on the train. When a voyeuristic divorcee fixates on the lives of a perfect couple from afar, she soon gets embroiled in a murder mystery that unfolds revealing truths about her own life. "
The film is directed by Bard of Blood's Ribhu Dasgupta and is the official Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Hollywood film of the same name starring Emily Blunt. The Hollywood film was, in turn, based on British author Paula Hawkins' popular 2015 debut novel of the same name.
Starring Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari and Avinash Tiwary among others, the film is set to release on 26th February.
