Kim Kardashian files for divorce from Kanye West after six years of marriage
Reportedly, the divorce is an amicable one, with Kim asking for joint custody of the kids.
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West after six years of marriage. The news comes only weeks after reports of the couple separating surfaced.
Reportedly, the divorce is an amicable one, with Kim asking for joint custody of the kids. The documents have been submitted by Kim's lawyer Laura Wasser.
The couple began dating in 2012 and married two years later in a grand ceremony. They have four kids together: seven-year-old daughter North, five-year-old son Saint, three-old-daughter Chicago, and 21-month-old son Psalm.
As per reports in the media, their marriage was on the rocks as Kanye West has battled with bipolar disorder and even launched a controversial Presidential campaign in June last year. He went on to make remarks about Kim and their daughter and later accused the Kardashian family of mistreating him.
As per sources, Kim was already heading for divorce but reconsidered it due to Kanye's mental health. The two have been living separately for the past months.
