From red carpet events to family weddings, Deepika Padukone has worn note-worthy Sabyasachi ensembles just about everywhere, and for her appearance at the Lokmat Most Stylish Awards 2019 in Mumbai in December, she picked one more eye-catching drape by the designer. She opted for a red saree patterned with oversized blooms in muted hues, which she paired with a matching blouse featuring a deep neckline. 

A few days earlier, at the Star Screen Awards 2019 in Mumbai, Deepika Padukone wore a one-shoulder black gown by Alex Perry. Her gown featured a long trail attached to its sleeve that added just the right touch of drama, whereas the fitted bodice of her dress highlighted her frame. Her beauty look for the evening comprised of a fresh shoulder-length haircut styled into beachy waves.

In November, for the talk show, Roundtable With Anupama Chopra, Deepika Padukone wore a bold red midi dress by Rosie Assoulin with a matching pair of heels by Christian Louboutin. Her dress featured off-shoulder balloon sleeves and a plunging neckline. Multi-layered gold chains and a pair of classic hoop earrings completed the look.

At Jio MAMI Film Festival 2019, which took place in Mumbai in October, Deepika Padukone's bold choice of print stood out. Padukone arrived at the red carpet in a fit-and-flare gown by Dubai-based designer Marmar Halim that was doused in polka dots. Given that the focus of Padukone’s black and blue look was its dramatic polka dot print, the actor kept the rest of her red carpet look minimal to make sure it didn’t go overboard. 

In October, at the wrap-up party for her upcoming film, ’83, Deepika Padukone joined husband and co-star Ranveer Singh in a not-so-basic white shirt and blue jeans look. How did she give the classic combo an upgrade? Padukone skipped predictable silhouettes and wore a one-shoulder shirt instead, which she tucked into a pair of high-waisted denims. To make sure her outfit really stood out, the star paired the outfit with pearl-studded gold hoops and a pair of striking red pumps.

While attending Dior’s spring/summer 2020 show in Paris in September, Deepika Padukone wore a printed maxi dress from the brand’s cruise collection. In September, Padukone upped the ante in a grey jumpsuit as she was spotted at Mumbai airport. Featuring full-sleeves, front buttons and multiple pockets, Padukone’s airport look was a visual treat. The jumpsuit also came with a belt that accentuated her waistline.

In July, for the Wimbledon final in London, Deepika Padukone took the classic route and went for an all-white look. For one of the most-watched sporting events in the world, the star styled a pair of wide-legged pants with a white pussy bow blouse (but left the tie open for a more relaxed look), both by Ralph Lauren. Padukone accessorised her look with a pair of gold earrings, multiple gold bracelets and beige heels.

In June, Deepika Padukone was spotted in Mumbai in a pair of silver leather pants by Iro. Padukone’s metallic leather trousers came with a matching belt that drew attention to her waistline. The actress balanced her all-eyes-on-me pants with a basic white T-shirt featuring cutout details, and completed the look with sparkling drop earrings.

All eyes were on the 33-year-old Bollywood actress as she consistently stunned onlookers with her daring and dramatic style at Cannes Film Festival 2019 in May. Deepika Padukone was spotted walking the red carpet wearing a dramatic black and white gown by Peter Dundas that scored high on impact. The outfit featured an enormous black bow right in the centre, a distinctively long trail, and a plunging neckline to lend a sultry spin. She wore her larger-than-life gown with dramatic cat eyes and a high ponytail.

Deepika Padukone surprised with a turban on her second night at Cannes 2019. Her voluminous tulle gown by designer Giambattista Valli was offset by feminine blush bows and a turban in the same colour that she wrapped over her hair, which was tied in a bun. The layered high-low skirt on her dress was a total masterpiece, as well, with the ruffled train and sleeves adding some extra drama.

Keeping up with this year's theme 'Camp: Notes on Fashion', Deepika Padukone attended the 2019 Met Gala in May wearing a strapless pink Zac Posen gown that instantly reminded us of a life-size Barbie. To work the 'more is more' aesthetic, Padukone styled her all-pink look with a voluminous high ponytail (amped up further with a bejewelled pink hair band), dramatic burgundy lips and equally striking purple eye makeup. 

In May, at an event in Mumbai, Deepika Padukone opted for a ruffled yellow saree by her favourite couturier, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Her saree was teamed with a pussy bow blouse in the same hue which featured billowing sleeves. For her outing, the actress made a statement with her dramatic shoulder dusters (also by Sabyasachi), which instantly amped up her ethnic look that came sans embellishment.

For the Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards 2019 in Mumbai in February, where she took home the award for the Most Glamorous Female Star, Deepika Padukone opted for a statement-making coral Jean Louis Sabaji gown. She rounded it off with statement earrings and an equally impactful beauty look. She styled her long hair into slicked back waves and tucked them behind her ears, while the makeup was kept bright with a focus on strong brows.

At the Femina Beauty awards 2019, also in February, Deepika Padukone made a statement in a bespoke black gown by designer Amit Aggarwal. The minimal gown came sans embellishment but still managed to catch everyone’s attention, courtesy its not-so-basic neckline. Her gown featured glossy structured sleeves that continued into a long train. Padukone complemented her gown with a pair of stunning diamond-encrusted shoulder dusters.

At the Sportstar Aces Awards in Mumbai in February — which Deepika Padukone and her actor-husband Ranveer Singh attended along with her family — the star wore a floral Gauri and Nainika gown. Padukone highlighted her backless gown with a messy bun. The couple had joined former badminton player, Prakash and Ujjala Padukone at the awards, where he was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
