With the whole country socially distancing itself, it’s finally time to brush up on the latest music that has released this season. Whether it is music that you didn’t get the time to listen, or something dropping next week, we’ve got you covered. If you’re a sucker for Billboard hits, this list is for you. Here are the top 5 album releases for this quarantine season:

The Weeknd - After Hours
Every time the Canadian singer-songwriter drops an album, it’s a grand event. With power-packed singles and music videos, his albums are a treat for the ears. Continuing this tradition with his newest release After Hours, The Weeknd comes back to his noir-pop aesthetic and gives us something we can jam to when we feel stuck at home. With production by Metro Boomin, Max Martin and Illangelo, this psychedelic trip is his most sonically rich album till date.

Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake
Since the last two years, music from Lil Uzi Vert has been a rarity, quite like everyday groceries these days. After label issues, leaks and retirement rumors, the Philadelphia rapper has come back with the highly anticipated Eternal Atake, and it’s deluxe edition Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World 2. The two albums total a tracklist of 32 songs, which have enough fire power to get you through the quarantine period. Special shout out for P2, a sequel to 2017’s smash hit XO TOUR Llif3.

Royce da 5'9" - The Allegory
Royce da 5’9” has put his foot down with his February release The Allegory. In these polarizing times, Royce goes into preacher mode and talks about various themes like finance, racism and greed. All of this, while not dumbing down his bars. Produced entirely by Royce himself, the beats are rustic, but punchy enough to get the heads nodding. The album also has some really profound skits, which are certified unskippables. This album is sure to teach you a few lessons that’ll stay for a long time. Now would be a good time to go back to this album if you haven’t.

Joyner Lucas - ADHD
This entry on the list hasn’t released yet, but the hype is definitely real. With over two years of delays, Joyner has kept his fans waiting, dropping an impressive single every now then. With the latest singles Lotto and Revenge, Joyner is all geared up for a March 27th release date. With the COVID-19 virus in full effect, this album would be a great listen for socially distancing yourself and drowning in the music.

Bad Bunny - YHLQMDLG
Going by the album title, Bad Bunny does what he wants. He rose to stardom with latin-trap bangers like I Like It and Mia. With this album, he blends classical reggaeton riddims with trap drums. The record has one party anthem after another. But unlike other “party albums”, this one has much more depth, both musically and lyrically. It’s the perfect record to start your work from home day with.
Happy Social Distancing!
